UPCOMING EVENTS!
Come on girls... the holiday season is right around the corner! Don't forget to add Seaside Sisters upcoming events to your busy schedule!!!

Saturday, October 18th SSS ANNIVERSARY SALE!
Like, oh my gawd, it's been a YEAR already! Hard to believe that we have been open for a full year now! We've got so much fun stuff for our guests to see, do and buy during our Anniversary celebration, that we can barely contain ourselves (perhaps some Spanx would help!) Shoes, hourly raffles, food, drink and the coolest of all... our coastal ceramics goddess,PAM MARTIN, is coming back with her newest creative venture (or should we say adventure???) Pam has restored a vintage Travel Trailer as only SHE can... we can't wait to see it ourselves!

DATE to be DETERMINED... NOVEMBER!!!
SAVE THE TA TAs / BOOBS ON THE BEACH PARTY

Join us and the Sisters at Marlin Monroes for a great cause! More info to come but we will be stocking SAVE THE TA TAS t-shirts with a portion of the sales going to local breast cancer charities! Stop by... bring your "girls" and get yourself a t-shirt...let's put some fun in the fight to cure breast cancer!
Wednesday, October 29th - Witchy Winey Wednesday
It's Halloween girls... so hop on your Hoovers and get your pointy hats and warted noses up to Seaside Sisters for a Boo-tiful evening of witches brew (uh, chardonnay or merlot??), treats and seasonal fun. We've even invited a REAL tarot card reader to help you answer questions you've been pondering for years... Does my butt look big in jeans? Why are they called "Dust Bunnies"? Why do I always leave my coupons at home when I go grocery shopping? It'll be a spooktacular evening for all who dare to come....ooooooohhhhhh!

Blog date 9-02-08 / AVA DAHLING!
Labor Day Weekend proved to be amazing and fruitful and tons of fun! The Seaside Gypsy Tent Sale, coupled with thousands of tourists on the island, made for a steady influx of the fun and fabulous through our doors! Let's face it... the weather was great, everyone was enjoying the last vestiges of summer and what's not to like about a Tent Sale??? We met really great folks from ALL OVER this great country of ours... and many locals stopped by to see what the Gypsies had collected for the sale. We want to thank all of those that stopped in, shopped and giggled with us...we had a ball and we hope you enjoyed the Seaside Sisters experience.

Blog date 8-28-08 / Tailgate Thursday a HOWLING Success!
Well, the "game" started slowly, with NO AC in front of the store! Seaside Susan and sidekick Cousin Linda worked hard to assure that any visitors for Tailgate Thursday would be comfie and plied full of cold wine/ beer and Nancy Smith's fabulous homemade pimento cheese sandwiches.
A few of our local fellow friends stopped by to chat and see the new merchandise... then about 6:30 all HELL broke loose and the DAWGS bus pulled in! Not really, but the store filled up with friends and visitors and the night got off to a late, yet growling start! Didn't close up until 8 PM and had a GGGGRRRRReat evening! Thanks to all that stopped by and especially to those that purchased our new DAWGs shirts, hats and ceramics... you'll be the envy of all!

Who needs billboards??? We have magic markers and poster board.... totally organic!
Polly Stramm. Tom Beytagh and friends... didn't know it was "Bring your own air filter night!"

Seaside Sister Susan and Mary Ellen Beytagh... donning Dawgs Duds! Nice look ladies!
Our new friends from Hurricane, West Virginia... yep, you heard it right...from Hurricane to a hurricane (go away Gustav!). We warned him that black patent did NOT match his brown shoes, but he would not be deterred! GREAT folks, really fun, we loved em!

Southern Living pays Tybee Island a Visit!
A photographer with one of our favorite Southern pubs came to our little Island to see firsthand the shops, homes and businesses that make up our wonderfully quirky beach oasis! She did the tour with none other than Seaside Sister dynamos, Susan Kelleher and Diane Kaufman of fav Mermaid Cottages...Tybee's very own Thelma & Louise! Diane was kind enough to house her in Dutton-Waller on Chatham Avenue so our visitor was able to experience all that is Mermaid Cottages (www.mermaidcottages.com). But don't run to the news stand just yet, this article won't appear until 2009 and you'll be the first to know!
EXTREME MAKEOVER - SEASIDE SISTERS EDITION!
We've had our facade nipped, tucked, planted and gussied up! Stop by and check out our new tent chock full of stunning new items! Ain't she purty????

Giant Turtle Invades Fish Art !!!

No need to run, hide or call the National Guard... this giant sea turtle is the newest creation of our beloved, Douglas Jones, of Fish Art (www.fisharttybee.com). A close neighbor of Seaside Sisters, Douglas' amazing artwork and sculptures capture the attention of everyone driving on and off of the island! Stop by and see this amazing creature for yourself - he doesn't bite!
WE LOVE OUR CUSTOMERS...
Part of the fun of being a Seaside Sister and working in the store is derived from the amazing people we meet! Don't be surprised when we ask you where you are from and how you found Tybee Island... we aren't being nosey (well, we really are...) but we like to know the folks who walk in our door. We've met first wives, ex-wives, women escaping their kids, women in trailers, wedding parties, divorce celebrations, and lots of folks just plain having fun! So share you stories with us and we'll be happy to make you a part of our Sisterhood! Names can be changed to protect the innocent, of course!
!
Love the website, love the blog, love the shop! Can't wait to hear what's happening next in the world of SSS!
